It's weird, I can use multiple serato certified controllers for Serato DJ just fine. And that makes no sense, this arrangement with the SL2 is actually useful.

AHHHH, NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE TO MY ANALOGUE MIND!!!!!!!!

I guess I'll bite the bullet and get the SX2. Where the hell can I pre-order it for $800 though????

It's pretty simple really. Your SX is both a controller (box of buttons that do midi stuff) and an analog mixer. You route the analog mixer part to your SL2 and you use the controller to do your transport controls, hotcues, etc.

I tried to make this point twice, but I guess I did a poor job of explaining it? I don't know.
But Anyway, after doing some more thinking about it, I renege what I said up there about it being possible.
You see, both the SX and the SL2 are considered native controllers to SeratoDJ. If you connect them
both at the same time, the software won't be able to determine which one is primary.
You can still use the SX's mixer section to connect the SL2 and run SeratoDJ, but you cannot
connect a USB from the SX to your laptop in order to map out transport, cue, etc.. controls. If you
wanted to map those controls, you would need an additional MIDI controller such as the Pioneer SP-1,
Akai LPD8, Korg nano series, or forthcoming Reloop Neon to name a few.

What's the point in all of that?
A $700 controller to use solely as an analog(?) mixer for your SL2?
Just sell your SXmk1, and get an SXmk2 w' the DVS plugin.....problem solved.

    @Eggy - I'll PM you where you can pre-order the DDJ-SX2 for $800

I can connect multiple Serato certified controllers and it works just fine. I own a DDJ-SR and a Mixtrack Pro 2 and they can work at the same time. No need to specify which one is primary.

Hmm, 'cause others on the (Serato) forum have been having issues doing that.
But, if Scalage says it's possible, then at least it's worth a try.
    I suppose I stand corrected.

You've got me curious... I'm interested as well, if you can inform me, too.
