Howdy -

Looking to run two Mackie Thumps (12") from a generator this Saturday. I bought these because they have a decent kick, can fill up a room and are self-powered. I don't understand much about amps and how speakers get blown, so any education would be appreciated.

The question is: what power rating do I get with a generator so the Mackies can run on full power, but won't get blown immediately?

The specs are the following:
• LF 300W peak power (Class-D)
• HF 100W peak power (Class A/B)

Does this mean I'm limited to 100W? I consulted the owner's manual and didn't find much to answer this question...
