Default how do you keep up with it all?

    Hey guys and girls,

How long time no post.. Just wanted to know how everyone keeps up to date with tracks with the amount of new music being pumped out these days? I've just moved to a mainstream area so i want to try and get on top of it all so i can get back out there without looking like an idiot.

Thanks all will be great to see the results on this 1

I just pick my method of getting music, set my budget and go. Lots of listening to previews, though, that's for sure.

I have to be in the right mood to dig through new music, which generally means sorting through hype machine. And trying not to get overwhelmed.

I listen, put anything that interests me in the checkout basket, then stop.

I come back a day otr two later, listen through the basket and if I don't immediately *love* the track, it gets kicked out. If you only buy tracks you adore and MUST HAVE then over the long run your collection becomes more concentrated with gold rather than becoming more diluted. I buy less but I love each and every track.

Friday nights on Radio 1 from 7 o'clock with Annie Mac til like 5 in the morning with various other DJ's along the way provide all my dance music of all genre needs. That's only if you're in the UK though.

Also blogs, knowlegable friends and going clubing really help me find the best new music.
