In the UK we would say 'Zed' - or at least that's what I and anyone I speak with says. In fact I just asked my wife how she would pronounce 'Kontrol Z2' and she said "Zed". I asked if she would ever say 'Zee' and she said "fuck no, this isn't Sesame Street".
