I was considering swapping my NS7ii out for a 'real' mixer; and I had an query with regards to DJM900 flavours.

If I ran a 900 NXS, purchasing an SL2 (or better, even) can be accomplished with the savings; giving me native DVS for both Traktor/Serato. Now as it stands, I'm not a Traktor user (yet) but I like to have options open.

The cost is almost the same as a 900 SRT; but what do I lose for swappablitiy?

As far is I can tell, I'll be limited to 2x DVS in serato (if I go SL2), and that the FX won't quantize properly on the mixer; and blues lights vs orange.

I can live with 2x DVS (CDJs for the other decks), and I can live without quant'd FX (that's how pio's done it forever). I'm indifferent to the colours.

Is it just me, or is that it? Is there some glaring feature the SRT has over vs the NXS for us serato users (assuming you've got an SL box) over convenience?
