Default Vst instruments for making acid techno

Other than the obvious tb303 and emulators what other vst's are helpful when making acid techno? Anything from effects to different basslines to any other various instruments you think fit this genre. Open to all suggestions, thanks!

If you're a logic user, I'd suggest experimenting with the ES M. It's a very nice-sounding and easy to use monophonic synth. I've gotten very nice and fat basslines with it, even with the resonance turned up.

If you want a good third-party option, try Carbon 2. You can make some fairly complex and weird sounds with it. It comes with a free download of Reaktor Player

Don't forget resonance. You won't get much acid sound modulating the cutoff without the resonance cranked.

poizone works simple and effective, don't be put of by the EDM crap that they show in the tutorials though!
