external hardware midi only drum sequencer for ableton live 9 drum racks?

I play live with my traktor deck audio routed into ableton (so all audio is in ableton)

at the moment I have a drum rack set-up, but can only play midi sequences that I have pre-programmed

what I would like to do is control the drum rack in a step sequencer way to allow on the fly live play, and changes to the playing sequence.

I have an original launchpad and it is used to trigger idents and the pre-programmed midi drum sequence clips.

is there any hardware available to just function as a drum step sequencer?

tbh I dont rate the slowness of it. plus I already have uses for it. not just drum triggering

Do you have M4L? There are a TON of free Monome emulators that will do exactly what you want...

I do have max for live, and I searched step sequencers and drum sequencers, drum machine etc...

will look at "monome" then.

The MIDI Fighter Twister may have the controls that you want. Starting about 4:45 in the video, the step sequencer mode is shown.
