    Default RIP Mark Bell

One of the pioneers of dance music has passed away...it's been a tough 2014 for electronic music...

Sad news, I hadn't realised how much of his music I was influenced by until I read this.

Me too. I didn't know some tunes I used to listen to were produced by him. I guess they needed a fine producer up there to spice things up!

Yes, it is very sad when somebody so young dies & he was much respected. He lived around the corner from me and we went to the same school. He was a couple of years younger than me so I wasn't a close friend but we had mutual friends and similar music tastes growing up. He once loaned me a couple of old keyboards & I loaned him my Kraftwerk albums before he had released LFO. I never got the albums back but he probably made better use of them than I did. He was always talked about as a local legend in Lofthouse & Leeds. R.I.P Mark Bell.
