Basically, you download Mavericks from the App Store and run it. That should work. If it doesn't, look up instructions on making a booable USB to do it.

If OSX doesn't let you install that way, your only completely assured option is to boot the installer, format your boot drive, and install there from scratch. Unfortunately, that also means you need to reinstall TSP and whatever else you need to perform.

For future reference, ALWAYS make a clone of your boot drive before you do an OS update, even if everybody has said it's all fine.

Also....backups are good. Redundant backups are better.
I did a full backup (clone) before I did the yosemite upgrade just incase something were to happen.

That doesn't help Eddie. I was hoping he did.

But, congrats. That's the right way to do it.

I just updated. Traktor runs fine but does not see my Audio 6 soundcard anymore. I did try reinstalling the Audio 6 driver and it did nothing. The green USB light on the sound card flashes and it is not seen in Traktor. Any recommendations? I'll have to drop back to Mavericks if I don't find a fix soon. Thanks.

ps: The Audio 6 control panel doesn't see the soundcard either.

    FYI!!!!!

    http://www.native-instruments.com/en...0.10-yosemite/

Compatibility of Native Instruments Products with Mac OS X (10.10) Yosemite

For the time being, Native Instruments software and hardware products are not supported under Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. We recommend to wait a little before upgrading to Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite, as full support for Native Instruments products (soft - and hardware) cannot be provided yet.

We are currently conducting systematic tests to offer full compatibility as soon as possible. Please check regularly your Native Instruments product's specification page to keep yourself updated on the actual system requirements. There, Mac OS X 10.10 will be added to the supported operating systems as soon as we can guarantee the full compatibility of our products.

Those are the old drivers. New ones for 10.10 haven't been released yet. Until NI provides new drivers, NI sound cards won't be recognized in your Mac.

Unfortunately not, we're gonna have to wait it out... All they've said is "as soon as possible." Check the service center (or NI's website) regularly to stay updated.
