    Cool Muffintop's improv techno setup...

EMX1 SD - drums, sounds, and sequencing.
    Bass Metaphors - Kick drum
Meeblip Anode - Bass lines, leads, pads... Depends on my mood
Monotron Delay - Effect for Anode, or noise machine/pads/fx. God I love this thing. Coolest instrument on this table.
    Xone 2d - ableton controller
Ableton - mixer, effects, master channel(barely)

Should have a set uploaded soon. Look for it early next month.

I'll have a couple 1200s too, for samples from these bad boys…

Do you record everything on Ableton? If yes how do you layer the different sounds of the EMX1 SD? Or do you record each sound individually and then arrange it directly on ableton?

    Thx

To ableton, yes. For live- kick out of L/R panned left, snare clap & perc L/R panned right, hats & shakers and stuff 3/4 panned right. Synth parts 3/4 panned right.

Synth part 4 controls Anode (5 will be controlling a piano module soon!)
All routed into ableton. Some hardware effects some software effects.

Control most levels in ableton. Kick is levels with the bass metaphors pedal.

Studio I usually single or double track stuff. Going to experiment with sending all of my sounds stereo and using different effects on each channel. For example... Kick into bass metaphors on one side and into a mixer feedback looping Onto itself, and then through the monotron with the filter sculpting out any click that might be present. With a little fine tunig I'll have a bass line that grooves with the JFK and morphs every hit without using an extra sound sources.
