LOTS of noise coming from the VDJ gang about this...

I haven't even updated my VDJ7 to 8 yet. I should get on with that.

    You use both, Karlos?

I've heard that the change from 7 to 8 is pretty impressive. The DVS engine is brand new. That excites the hell out of me.

Yeah I only use VDJ for a little karaoke gig I have.
I have never gigged with it in DJ terms.

I might try the DVS functionality if it works with NI timecode vinyl just to try it. Couldn't find that info on the website (just scanned it though) just info about timecode CD..

I'm genuinely worried that VDJ will be better than Traktor.

From what I've read, VDJ is something special - super configurable.

I've nly just got to grips with using Traktor, and I don't wanna have to learn a new piece of software!!!

DVS + VST is just ridiculous. What is VDJ external sync like? Have you tried sync'ing it with Ableton Live?

watched their scratching teaser, looks very tight... i just wish they would hire someone new to design thier UI... i absolutely cannot get past the amazingly bleak UI of either serato or VDJ, not that traktor is much better, but it is the easiest one for me to look at. i really do like the side by side waveform layouts of both, but other than that i feel like im looking at the bios screen on my pc when i see them.

with all the amazing digital designers out there, they could do a little better in this department. i know it doesnt affect the music per se, but if u have to look at it for prolonged time periods, wouldnt you like it to be more stimulating?

If you're asking me, no I haven't. I could try tomorrow if you're seriously interested though.
