Default CDJ 2000 Nxs rear usb B port and external harddrive

Errrm daft question I am afraid but can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect an external hard drive directly to a CDJ via the USB B port on the rear of the player. I know the norm is to go via the USB A port on the top of the player.

It would appear it might be possible as this is how the data is transferred when linking a Laptop but I did wonder if anyone had actually done this.

    hope you can help

No. You need to use the A port. The rear USB B is for MIDI/HID/soundcard usage.
