    Default Beatport question

Hey guys just a quick question, if me and my friend want to both put money in to buy songs off beatport, can we both download and use the song or can it not be transfered?

Sorry probably a noob question but just wanting to know, thanks in advance

There is no DRM or copy protection on the songs, so there is no technical mechanism stopping you. But, I believe the license you buy is for one person's use.

Beatport is a good company as far as I can tell; they do a good service for the community; and the music is a heck of a lot cheaper than CDs or vinyl anyway.

    I wouldn't.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I do this... I also have an iTunes Match account so this makes the tracks from iTunes be higher quality and anytime they increase their quality the library is updated to new bitrate..... iTunes is on average 50 cents to a dollar cheaper

Google music is pretty cheap as well. I've found some good stuff for cheap and they don't have any strict DRM. They do have a limit in single file downloads. But you can download your whole collection if your system crashes or something.

Definitely not as expansive as Beatport but a tad cheaper.

Every week Google gives away a album for free plus you have a backup of all your music wherever you go.
