    Default nexus djm 900 alternative????

    Hi,

I'm looking at running the following setup:

    macbook running traktor and ableton
    2x x1s
    ableton push
    a nexus djm 900 alternative?

So my question is are there any good nexus djm900 alternatives that have a built in soundcard but for a cheaper price range?

    Thanks

    Yes there are.
I would go for Denon X1600 because of dedicated MIDI encoders & buttons.

    Also there's X1700

    Also look for A&H DB4 & DB2 and also Pioneer DJM-850

Pioneers DJM850, Allen & Heath DB2 or DB4 if you shop around and there is a Denon alternative which the guys mentioned above but can't comment on the mixer as i've never used it

Plus 1 on the Denon 1600, I have had one a while now and love it.

Any mixer with a 4 channel sound card you could send 4 decks to it without an external sound card.

If you want to use timecode then you need to make sure the mixer is Traktor Scratch certified

+1 for the Denon X1600. You can reliably find them "new" for $800, and "factory refurbished" units for $500.

The A&H DB2 would be the other "obvious" option at a (slightly) reduced price from the 900.

I use the 1600 at home in the studio and the 900 at one of my gigs. No real complaints on either but i do prefer the denon overall, cant beat it at the price point, especially used.
