Kontrol S8 on Macbook Pro....reliable for gigging ?

Hi Tarekith, i have followed ur posts and spoken to you at the ableton forums as well.
Ur endorsement means a lot to me.
I am a bit scared about the screens and touch strip though, but it does seem like a good all-in-one unit.
How do u like the sound quality though ?

The touch strip on the s8 is smooth like butter, it even has little leds above it that is the phase meter so you really cant go wrong. I have had my s8 for about a month and a half and its amazing. Traktor still needs to catch up with stability though. I play out with it all the time and its only crashed once (and it was my fault)

Yes i read that most ppl were having issues with Traktor Pro 2.7 onwards...... isn't that required for the S8 ? It cant run on 2.6.8 can it ?

I don't believe so, 2.7.3 rock solid stable for me on the S8 (Mac).

Yea you need at least 2.7 and I agree that 2.7.3 has been solid so far I have about 25 hours of play time on 2.7.3 and its been stable.

Yep, 10.10. Solid as a rock with 2.7.3 and S8.
