    other way around, its usually the artist (famous ones) who are always on drugs and its the suits that complain... many artists publicly speak out in favor of podcasts and bootleg remixes etc... i have had a number of artists thank me for playing a track. I have also had labels come after me and say "please put a tracklist or we will take legal action" I have only ever had 1 file removed from soundcloud.

    I've always found 6 seconds of silence before the mix starts does the trick. No need to make intros, etc.

    It's not 100% fool proof but it has been very effective for me as of late

    I've had a mix pulled from youtube and it's been up on soundcloud the whole time. It was a Stacey Pullen track on the one LP he put out with a major label. Track is in the middle of the mix, that said I'm pretty deep into the underground...
