Default Difference between DJM2000 and DJM2000nxs?

    Hey all!

I have a couple questions regarding Pioneer mixers. What are the fundamental differences between the DJM2000 and DJM2000 Nexus? They appear to have very similar features after the firmware update to the original DJM 2000.

Also, why is the 2000 comparable in price to the DJM900nexus? It seems as if it has more features (touchscreen, etc) but is significantly less popular in professional use everywhere. Also, you can pick up a DJM2000 for around the same price as he 900nxs.

    Thanks guys!

    Cheers

I'm pretty sure the DJM900NXS is just more favored by DJs because it's in clubs more and it's not as big.

DJM2000 looks pretty sweet, but I don't have space for one. I considered one as well.

If you want the DJM to get used to club gigs, I'd go for the 900 since you won't always have the effects panel the 2000 offers.

The nexus has better sound quality, FX processor, look, and feel. Honestly It is way better to play on. It feels more comfortable. Those slight looking differences make a huge difference in feel and ergonomics.

However - is it worth the extra $$$ to spend on the newer Nexus version? I've been reading around places and people have said that with a simple firmware update, there aren't too many differences (besides the upgrades you mentioned).

I cannot justify the $400 price difference.
