Default Dismantling RELOOP Digital Jockey 2IE +VDJ mapping question.

    Hey guys.

    Hey Djtechtools!
    I've introduced myself in the introductions thread, but just to clarify;

I'm kind of new, and just got myself a second hand Reloop Digital Jockey 2IE, but the play/cue/cup buttons don't work properly.

Just ordered the Pioneer DSG1079's (42 of them) to replace the whole thing(every single button on there).

Now i can't find any pictures or schematics to find out how to open up a DJ2, and even though i consider myself a bit of a tech guy, my gut says that just diving into it and unscrewing stuff might just do more harm than good.
I really don't want to damage or break anything.

And because i'm new to controllers and whatnot, i'm that kinda guy who's almost too hesitant to pull the caps off lol.
If anyone had any prior experience disassembling that would be helpful, please let me know!

Also, the previous owner gave me a demo with Traktor, showed me the 3 effects you can engage with the dry/wet, which really made me regret i don't like traktor...

Is there any way to get this 'kind of' operating in VirtualDJ?(multiple effects w/ dry/wet)
I have the default mapping and that dictates that i can only scroll between effects with the knob pressed, and have a filter on another knob.

The DJ2 has 3 dedicated FX buttons and those are now looking redundant while VDJ'ing.

Thankful for any help i can get guys!

Hey mate, I've recently been dealing with the same situation as you. I've had a DJ2 for a couple of years and shortly after buying it, the left CUE and PLAY buttons stopped working. I've finally decided to replace the switches so I can sell it. The little information I have found on how to so replace the switches is on the Reloop forums - many of them in German, which I can no longer find. What is still there is this:

    http://support.reloopdj.com/digital-...button-broken/

    http://support.reloopdj.com/digital-...pause-buttons/

This should be enough to get you through the process. Those Pioneer buttons you mentioned might work - they seem to be the right size and shape. I ordered the following, which seem to be the exact ones used in the DJ2:

I'm should be receiving the switches this week, so hope to try it out myself soon.

Let me know how it goes for you.
