Default faster to market with the z4 please!

im starting to get the itch for a new mixer, i really want a 4 channel mixer that is traktor certified, however i do not want a pioneer. this leaves me in the "no such thing" realm for now i guess. i have looked at every mixer between the rane 64 to the xone 92 or db4, and can find a reason NOT to try to use any with traktor. you would think at this stage in the game NI would have their own line of traktor certified mixers... but then if they release the z4 or whatever, will it even be worth waiting for. i use a DVS set up so this also plays into the equation. i picture having a 4 channel mixer, an x1 an f1 and my techs....

i love using my modified apc40 as my mixer, but the sound quality and build quality arent really all that, and why should they at the price...if someone would only put out a high quality version :P

Why don't you want a Pio?

I have a DJM-850, and my set-up is nearly identical to yours (swap out your X1 for my Zomo MC-1000).

The 850 is PERFECT as a DVS mixer.

Idk just have never been a fan of pioneer, I know some people love them, but I've never felt at home with pioneer. I went outside my little box and tried a rmx1000 but sent it back , it just wasn't for me. If I'm going to spend a lot on a new mixer, I want to love it..

It's not like I think a NI mixer would out perform pioneer... But I wish xone or rane made a traktor mixer.

I I'm tempted but is it midi mappable? The 92? In traktor? And why the 92 over the db4

Also for dvs is the 850 better than the 900 or 2000 nexus... The 2000 looks like a boat so I'm rly not feeling it but why not the 900 ?

No, not midi mappable, but why does a mixer have to be? I'd rather have one tool do one thing really well, than have it do everything but in a mediocre way.
Regarding 92 over DB4: I don't see the point in a mixer with a whole lot of FX that you will never see in a club setting.

I always thought like this. But I could NEVER go back to a mixer + audio interface set-up now. All those wires are a PITA. They never bothered me at the time, but now I've been spoiled with a single USB connection from laptop to 850!

well i ALWAYS use my own gear, even if the venue has the same set up. so this isnt really an issue. the midi mappable part def isnt a deal maker or breaker, but it sure is nice to have. honestly ive been really leaning to the 92.... really leaning. im trying to take my time, waited thru namm, and am trying to wait until NI updates their line which should be soon i reckon.

Well, I can see that. I rarely connect my interface at home anymore. For searching and prepping music, I'm fine with my HD-25, and general listening is usually vinyl.

Why? Have you played out a lot yet? Space in the booth is often at a premium, and I can't see the venue's staff being all too happy with a DJ connecting more stuff than necessary
