    Default DJ Shops in Tokyo

I am off to Tokyo next month, has anyone got any recommendations for shops out there? I had a search on here but could not find anything.

Will probably have a look at used equipment as new prices don't seem much better than 10% cheaper than UK prices.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Power DJs in Shibuya is your best bet. Very hard to find, though.

If you have any questions about it, I will do my best to help.

Thanks eggy. I will check this place out, staying close to Shibuya so works well. Are there anythings to look out for? I have bought used cars from Japan and they tend to look after stuff over there and also have an apparent dislike for used things. Hoping this will mean decent pricing

I don't have too much experience in purchasing used gear, but I felt that Technics 1200 pricing was quite low, especially now with the weak yen. And yes, Japanese people do take excellent care of their equipment.

Here is one other store, very close by to Power DJs:

They had a ton of used turntables on their DJ floor, if I remember correctly...

    Have fun!

If you are in Tokyo at the end of March you have earned yourself a beer!

Haha. You actually just missed me. I will be moving there permanently from August, though. So if you do happen to be back I will most certainly take you up on that offer.

Hope you pick up some cool swag. Tokyo's the best.

Check out PowerDJs, OtaiRecord, MusicHouse Friends, etc. These are all DJ shops which I believe sell used Technics.
The best way to find them is actually through Yahoo Auctions Japan or a flea market app called Mercari, though. Hard to use either if you don't have a permanent address in Japan and don't speak Japanese.
