    Default Better late than never

5 1/2 years late I guess... I'm finally setting up my VCI 100 SE arcade edition *hangs head in shame*. I bought it new, and life took a sharp turn for the complicated and it has been in the box in storage since shortly after it arrived. (It even still has a new smell) I always said to myself - you'll have time to get back to it, and that day never seemed to come. FINALLY it did So far a new PC, I have Traktor PRO2 installed (learning all from new), and an audio 2 DJ set upon that machine. Next step I guess will be updating firmware on the VCI, and loading up an appropriate .tsi..... I know I have a shit ton of reading/searching to do now, but just wanted to say hello to all before I begin!

i run the current traktor version on a macbook with NI´s audio2 (MK1) and the vci 100 (fw1.4).
i mapped an edit of djtt´s last two mappings for the VCI. it´s still in work (and always will). As soon as i have time to finish the walkthrough, i will upload it here.
It is a 4 deck mapping with superknobs, FaderFX & JogFX, HotCueMode, loops... for internal mixing.

i use my keyboard aswell, mapped it for freeze/slicer, preparation mode, hotcues, transport,... For this one, i´m writing a walkthrough, too.

Sounds like a fun to mix with! Any recorded mixes using that mapping?

It is a lot of fun. But, I have no FX mayhem mixes online. I have a new mix on mixcloud, but I don´t use FX on it.
Instead of enhancing/improving/enhancing my mixes, I spend most of the time with tweaking my mappings.

I decided to upload my VCI-100 & (MAC) keyboard mappings on sunday. They are not finished and I still want to change a lot. Also
the manuals aren´t ready, but I´ll publish them.
The tsi´s are pretty stable, although it´s a very complex mapping (for my skill level). I could need feedback to some changes I want to make. So, before I change the direction from "4TrackDecks" into "2TrackDecks + 2RemixDecks", I upload the files tomorrow.

Hope some folks here will wipe the dust of their VCIs.

My VCI mapping will not work properly with firmware version < 1.4!
