Latency Issue.. (ABLETON)

I'm have some major problems with latency with my Moog and my Nord Lead 4. no matter what i set it too, it always seems to be a quarter/half second off. With basslines etc this is okay but when i'm trying to make texture sounds i obviously would rather have it on point. I am using Ableton. if anyone is able to help me figure out how to fix that would be awesome!

You have the RME Fireface UCX, right? What are your sample rate and buffer size settings? Recording audio or midi? What are your computer specs?

Is there latency when you play the synths directly or sequence MIDI from Live to the synths and then back? What are you using to get the audio into Live - straight audio or external instrument? Plus sample rater/buffer settings as frankiefilth mentioned. If you have RME, drivers are damn good. I've got a babyface and have no latency issues with my Sub37.
