Default Price check: Xone 92 (UK)

I'm in the market for a Xone 92 and might pick one up today. Do you think $1,000 is a fair price? It's the second owner, but he says its in good condition. For example it comes with the original box, coords, manuals, fader, knobs etc. Furthermore, it's the UK version.

I've seen some regular versions sell for less on eBay, but they were ones with known issues. News units look to retail around $1,400 plus tax and shipping. I guess what I'm struggling with is this:

    • is the UK version so superior in build quality that a two-owner unit for $1k is a better choice than spending maybe $500 more for a brand new unit from a store?
    • how much more would you pay for the UK version purely for its potential to "sound better", if at all?
    • will the 92 hold it's value for the next five years as well as it has to date? I hate spending money on gear that loses 50% of it's resale in jus ta few years.

Thanks a bunch for any advice.
