Hey guys!

I have had an S4 for a couple years now and am fluent with both the hardware and Traktor Pro software. My S4 has been acting up of late so I am back on the market, but I also want to become more comfortable mixing on CDJs.

I cannot afford the full "2xCDJ + mixer" setup so was looking into the Pioneer controllers as a solution to bridge the functionality of CDJs with the logistical ease/cost-effectiveness of a controller. I am most interested in the DDJ-SX2.


- How similar is the functionality of the DDJ-SX2 compared to CDJs? Is it an easy translation?

- How compatible will the DDJ-SX2 be with Traktor Pro?

- Will the switch from S4 (apart from learning the hardware) be worth it to use Traktor Pro over Serato?

- If wanting to learn CDJs is my only reason for switching (other than tackling a new challenge), is the similarities enough to merit the change in gear?
