So, knowing nothing about DJing I decided if I was going to get good I had to have "real" turntables and also I needed to have something that hooked up to a computer because it was the future. Enter Numark v7. These babies would be an investment that would pay off for years, and I bought them just before the Numark s6 came out with 4 decks. Frustrated with the software and the lack of support and the lack of versatility of the x5 mixer I got a vci400 ege and mothballed the v7. A few years ago I pulled them out and set them up with my backup laptop to just have something out to mix on and keep me up to practice so I didn't have to rely on my one controller and I kinda like the vinyl look and feel. The beta crap pissed me off, I let my wife set up her craft table and put the v7s away again. Just today I dust them off thinking after 2 long years numark finally figured it out and started supporting their product. I see no information about serato dj for numark v7 except threads from 2013. I clicked the support tab at numark dot com and the links to download the software are dead links.
What's a guy to do? I just want some crappy turntables set up in the corner of my basement so I can practice scratching in and mixing without the sync button... Am I gonna have to buy virtual DJ? About the only reason why I'd do that is for the karaoke cloud service for $20 a month, but I'm not ready to get into karaoke. Somebody point me in the right direction or at the very least feign sympathy and then call me a dumbass for expecting anything from Numark to have staying power.
