Default Second hand SL3 with Serato DJ question...

I've been offered an SL3 for a good price, i have a DDJ-SX2 which I use with Serato DJ...though I've been a traktor scratch pro user since 2010...

I don't have a DVS license for Serato, which is fine for the DDJ-SX2, however, if i plug a SL3 in, will that enable DVS so i can use TTs? or will i need to buy the plugin? Either way I don't mind, but i'd like to know before i pull the trigger...as I may opt for the club pack anyway

if you plan on using it as a dongle so you can plug TT's into SX2 and use timecode - NO.

you can plug SL3 into SX2 and TT's into SL3 phono inputs and use the mixer section on the SX2 to mix it. no midi from SX2 will be possible (no jog control, buttons etc)

i wouldn't be using them side by side...tbh I'm not a huge fan of the ddj, id be using it on its own with a separate mixer, like my d.2
