That for me is THE ultimate Traktor setup and N.I. should make it as a single unit with a sound card as they dont currently offer a 4 channel mixer 4 track deck controller.
I don't really like the remix decks, too much prep work involved to get the most out of them.
If I want to remix a track live, I load it into the 4 track decks and trigger the loops and shots from the track decks.
Anyway I'll talk you through the pic...
F1 has been completely remapped as a 4 channel mixer.
knobs mapped to filters A/B/C/D
faders mapped to A/B/C/D
the 16 pads are for freeze mode
encoder is master tempo, shift changes the freeze mode size.
bottom buttons activate a loop on channel A/B/C/D for slicer mode on the 16 pads.
the rest do various things, full screen mode, record, flux.
X1 Mk2s
knobs remapped to control the mixer; gain, high, mid, low.
top buttons loop on/off, 3 FX buttons changed to hold from toggle and I control the FX with the tough strip.
flux activates hotcues 5-8, rest of the transport remains unchanged.
Only thing missing is a soundcard and some ins/outs.
For that I've got, Z1, Z2 or an Audio 2.
You're right. This is how they should set up a controller. This way you get the full control of all 4 decks right in front of you. I love the way you put it together.
