I dunno what it is, but whenever I'm listening to a tune, and they blast in with a whistle sample, that's it, I'm done with it. Maybe its just me...

haha the ones that get on my nerve are sirens rofl that stuff just drives me mad.... People tend to drop them alot in dnb...... why do you even need a siren or horn going off in the middle of a track it has nothing to do with it

yeah, sirens can be kind of annoying, but sometimes theres a good use for em I guess.... but whistles, HELL NO.

Maybe this comes from playing too much DDR as a kid... freaking whistle song.

That gives me a great idea. Anybody got an inverted whistle sample? gotta go layer it over all those tracks.

I was SO glad when that finally phased out, San Francisco from 93'-98' had about 20 whistle blowers per party, and they always had to be near the DJ, like they thought he wanted to hear them or something.

old WW2 sirens can sound dope in the right spot, breakdown, climax, intro etc... but they get way over done.
