Welcome to the Forums
The main difference between MF 3D and Twister is that the Twister has more physical controls and a step sequencer built in to the firmware.
MF3D:
- 4 virtual midi banks (configurable with the four buttons on the top)
- 6 side buttons
- 16 arcade buttons with RGB LED feedback
- 4 top buttons
Twister:
- 4 virtual midi banks (configurable with the side buttons)
- 6 side buttons (pressing two center ones switches control from MIDI mapping in to the Sequencer mode)
- 16 rotary encoders with LED Ring feedback
- 16 push buttons with RBG LED feedback
What purpose and software do you plan to use your new Midifighter with? Triggering cues, samples, effects, mixing etc. ?
We will need more input so we can know which is a right one for you
I used my 3D for effects. Sold that one, Now i use my Spectra for effects & Twister for remix deck use.
Up to you how you use them mate

Twister is the right choice then. You can set up two banks of control by using the Midifighter Utility and map one as a midi mixer and the second one for FX control.
Out of the interest, what is your software of choice? We could help you out with setting up mappings if you decide to grab a Twister
