I have worked out that my PC laptop USB ports are already running off an internal usb hub.
adding an external usb hub just causes a bottleneck in the laptop usb port (which is on the internal hub)

The problem is I don't have enough usb ports to use all devices.

I have 3 ports (running from internal hub)

- Allen & Heath Xone:4D
- Pair of Allen & Heath Xone:k2 (linked by ethernet cable (x-link))
- Native Instruments Audio 10
that is my core setup

I have the following i want to connect but don't have a way to.

Hale Micro UMC-32m "brain"

Original Novation Launchpad

Korg NanoKontrol2 (usb)

I was thinking as usb doesn't work for me chained using hub to internal hub

I have loads of sanwa arcade buttons and lots of potentiometers to connect to the Hale Micro UMC32m
this uses USB.

Is there an alternative brain that uses 5pin DIN instead of USB?
I can connect the buttons and potentiometers to that instead?

as MIDI using 5pin DIN can be chained. without problems.
I have MIDI ports that I can connect to.

any ideas for connnecting the launchpad?
probably best to sell the launchpad though.
