    Default Road Trippin'

This is something I came up with after a 10 hour road trip. I tried to focus on the aggressive cornering and relaxing straightaways of the trip. It's a free download if anyone wants to get jiggy with it .

Here's the link to the free download. The soundcloud link won't work for some reason....

Great concept for a tune. Loved the bassline and the groove in the first minute.

If I can offer any constructive criticism, it's that depth-wise, the stereo field felt imbalanced, in large part because of the wood block/rim and it's big reverb coming out of one speaker but nothing balancing it on the other side. The arrangement felt a bit awkward too because there were too many elements seemingly fighting to be the primary instrument. (2 minute mark and 2:40 or so from what I remember) The flute/recorder sound and some string/pad type things. Think you could have put one of those elements further back in the mix and it would help.

Nice job though. I'm guessing you're in a high-end European car if that's your idea of aggressive cornering?

Dark road trip... very Depeche Mode, hope you came out of it unscathed. Like the sound design. Would agree with INDY that you should mix it a bit more and relegate one or two of the channels, but it's a nice sound (particularly the little loop that becomes obvious around 3 mins).

I'd also recommend making it a bit longer and DJ friendly with a longer outro but that's me being selfish!

Thanks for the feedback!! I'll play around with the track a bit more and make some of the suggested changes.

@ImNotDeadYet I wish it was a high end European car. It was a Four runner on some brand new all terrain wheels. The grip was amazing .
