Hey all, first time posting to this forum. Hope you can help.

I've had a Saffire Pro 40 and KRK Rokit 6 monitors running on Windows for a little over a year. (Yes I'm just now seriously trying to figure out the issue)

I had some serious crackling, especially on the high end and if there are vocals in whatever I'm listening to. I ended up purchasing a new firewire card for my PC and the crackling has been reduced. However, I'm still getting some noise.

I typically use Traktor to mix, however the crackling isn't isolated to when I use that program. For instance, I'm listing to something on Mixcloud right now and I get it every couple of mins or so.

Not sure if this is related, but after recording a mix in Traktor for an hour or so it sounds like the sound crashes and I get loud white noise/interference.

All my drivers are up to date. I just recently went to Windows 10 but it's the same. Any thoughts? (Besides switching to Apple... which I can't afford)

Here's my setup:
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Processor running at 3.33 GHz.
12 Gigs of RAM
Plenty of HDD space
Saffire Pro 40 running on Firewire
KRK Rokit 6 studio monitors

Thanks,

Jon
