    Default Akai LPD8

Picked up one of these a couple weeks ago.

Love the thing, solid build and its working well. I just want to find out how to use the editor to make the knobs work as a off/on switch instead of a rotary knob.

    Thanks.

In the Akai Editor, click on the pads where it says "Hold" and it should change to "Toggle", this way the lights on the LPD8 will go on and stay on when you press it, and go off again when you press them again.

Looking for how to do this on the knobs, not the pads:P. But thanks!

Try changing the knobs minimum range in the supplied LPD8 editor software to 62 or 63, and leaving the maximum range at 127.

This way, turning the knob clockwise from all-the-way-left just a tiny bit will cause the range to go past 64, triggering most on/off switch type software controls when you map it to your software.
