Default On the search for uniqueness

    Hi guys,

I'm currently trying to make a point to my college class and friends that it is possible to not be recognized by a single genre, but by what you are into at the time, like right now I'm into ethnic EDM. Mostly asian material but it would be awesome if I could get a few recommendations of VSTs or sample packs to use that are ethnic. Mostly middle eastern or indian would be great! Chinese or Japanese instruments would be nice as well!
    Much appreciated for the help!

There are some sweet ethnic instrument patches for Absynth out there bruv. THey sound very full and are not sample based.

There's this vst plugin called Tinman, by Stillwell Audio. It is marketed as some kind of filter, but it really is not a filter, in how it sounds at least.

Mostly when I put noises into it, I get a spooky melody out, which is sort of organic and sine-wavey.

u can use western sound like harp but play it in eastern scale, that'd give it an ethnic feel too.
