Default track titles & vinyl sleeves artwork

first of all, let me say that i am a digital child. i learned to beatmatch on an all-in-one numark console with cd-rs and i had some vinyl experience, but i'm mainly a traktor kid.

now to the point - i have been struggling lately with remembering track titles / artists / remixes. even though i had little experience with this, i find it much easier to remember a tune using a visual picture - i.e. a record sleeve! i recently read an interview with Sasha in which he said the same thing, that he never used to remember track names, just sleeves, but with ableton it's such a headfuck and he needs to be really organized.

does anyone else think this would be useful? what would be a good way to do this in traktor (like have a separate area on the screen for artwork)?

I think this is a great idea. The best way, I'd think, would be to integrate something like what iTunes has so you can scroll through the artwork and then pick it to see the tracks. Unfortunately that would take up a LOT of video memory

I am still thinking of installing that one too.

    Anyone here already installed it?

So, has anybody on the boards used TRAKKER before? I'm going to download it right now, but I'm just curious if anybody has anything to say about it.

i read about trakker in the german native instruments froum. i don´t use it for myself cause i fine with the normal traktor explorer. the only thing is, that u can´t prelisten a track like in the traktor explorer. u have to drop the song in deck a,b,c,d for prelistening, but i think thats okay.

The prelistening is annoying to me anyway, so I can do without it.

I tried to install trakker but had problems with java so didn't bother with it much more. But now that i think about it, it might actually be quite good for my current setup hmm. I could use traktor window only for decks, trakker for browser and ableton for mixing part.

Maybe I have to give it some more try. :P
