The New update is pretty Boss. Really thinking about trading in my Push for the Push 2.

Do you guys agree, this new Push 2 sorta makes my Maschine seem unnecessary?

    Not quite.

Maschine Studio is still very useful for quick brainstorming in the studio and their expansion pack model is the best I've seen in the market. Lets not forget that every pad (sample or instrument) considered fully separate track which is super convenient for stems, automation, mixing, etc. It's drum functionality is competitive in that they offer independent swing per pad, group, and master...with several choices of algorithms. I also, I find that Maschine can host more plugins than some of the full DAWs. I have done projects that are 3 songs in one, with about 18 groups and 70 scenes. I don't do that often, but its was nice to see Maschine keep up...had 2 crashes along the way tho...changing presets while the track was playing. Overall, I'm keeping Maschine.

Push 2 has the advantage of portability: USB-Powered ( I know the Maschine MK2 does too). As for drum functionality, I appreciate the layout of time division buttons. When I had Push 1, I didn't like that drumracks locked me into the 16 playable pads...I don't remember if it was possible to have all 64 pads play like the regular instrument layout. All the new features sounds interesting in 9.5, but I'm still waiting for hybrid tracks (bouncing midi to audio while still having midi functionality). Freezing tracks is getting old, and BitWig showed me a better way. Overall I still like many mature features of Ableton and hope they keep working on it. I support them AND the competition.
