Ableton has a steep learning curve but I am so glad I went with it, but if cost is an objection check out bigwig studio, pretty cool too.

Yeah the problem I have is I don't know what i want out of a daw yet. What about LMMS? I've been looking into free DAWs and I think that one looks best.
