    Default Traktor s8 display screen

Hey! Just bought this S8 and can't get the screen display to work at all. It just reads Traktor i the left screen and Kontrol S8 in the right screen. Have trird different configurations and options, but just can't get it to work. I have it connected to my computer (not laptop) that have an external sound card. The only Connection between the computer and the controller is an usb cable. What do I do wrong?

Your S8 might be set to "MIDI Mode". Not sure how to toggle back to HID on S8 though.

SHIFT (left or right Deck) + BACK (right Deck) to place it back into hid mode.

have you installed the drivers & are you running Traktor? The displays will only work if you have the drivers installed and are running Traktor. If you installed the drivers, did you restart the pc afterwards?
If you want to use it as a midi controller for a DAW for example, follow the above suggestions (Press shit+right back) - it says so on the screen too. If it takes you directly to the display setup screen, just press the button on the top left of the screen that looks like a cog. The midi screen is pretty limited like, simplistic, it will show you what note values each button sends out, and the position of the encoders and remix/stem deck faders.
    Good luck!

First updated the drivers as well as changed the 3.5 mm sound Cable that I had going through my keyboard and instead put it in the external sound card.
