Default Using a DJM-750 with Traktor

I am unsure if this is the right place to post this as I am new here, remove it if it is

I have recently purchased 2 Kontrol X1 Mk2's and are trying to use them on Traktor Pro 2 with my Pioneer DJM-750K mixer. I am curious do I have to create a MIDI mapping or just go straight for a soundcard?

X1's as midi controllers (no soundcard for these as they are control input) - there's bound to be a mapping file on there, or at least online.
Use the mixer soundcard as your audio output via your audio output settings on Traktor.

X1s work out of the box with Traktor Pro 2. According to the Pioneer site, the 750 has a built in audio interface, so you're all set with that. There's also MIDI built in, but I'm not sure which parts are assignable.

I am trying to have my mixer mimic the mixer in Traktor, would this require a mapping?

That's like buying a real car just to put it in your living room as a controller for a console rally/racing game. If you wanted to do that, it would have made more sense to a midi mixer like Behringer MM-1 and spend the rest of the money on something else.

If the 750 is anything like the 850 setting up should be a doddle.
