Decent brand and powered, thats all, any that have an external power adaptor should work fine.

This is how you set it up, simples

NOTE: You cannot charge the ipad when using it with midi devices, however I get about 8 hours play time from Djay on a single charge.

Thanks for the pix. In regards to £6.99. This is a cheap powered usb hub from China/eBay. It plugs direct to iPad (Lightning/charger) port. It then powers hub via wall charger. Offers 3x sub and card reader slots. It worked with Ableton push to iPad. It cost £6.99 complete.

That's why I got bit confused about other powered hubs. The powered usb hub wants to have a usb out cable Directed towards iPad and then into Apple camera connection kit?

Gonna try cable with akai eie pro soundcard later see how it goes.

    Phew!

Thanks man. This is big help though. 🤓

Non Official Lighting devices in general have problems with iOS updates, it might work now, it probably wont when Apple get the fake lighting chip ID's blacklisted and in general they are just unreliable and really just for transferring photos.

is this the kind of thing
