Hey, looking for some new reading material. I've read "last night a DJ saved my life" which I recommend to everyone beginner to pro, but wondering if there's any other good books on our craft? Thanks

I was really fond of "Energy Flash" by Simon Reynolds which is about the 90s Rave scene in the UK. It might not quite be as interesting from the DJing side, but it definitely is exciting for electronic music fans wanting to know history and what not. Only gripe is that Reynolds is a bit of a pretentious ass and seems to discredit album length electronic music.
Awesome I'll give it a try! Thanks, anything else from anyone else?
I just bought this:

without realising that it was just a re-issue of this:

So, yeah. I'm looking to sell this:

Haha yup I've read that too! Excellent read for the experienced DJ as well!
definitely could use things to read hazzah!
I'll pass as I've ended up with 3 copies of that myself, definitely essential reading though!
I bought my first copy around 2001-02 (white cover), then moved house and couldn't find it so bought it again- the dark cover version. I then found my original after another house move so had 2 copies with different covers. Then a couple of years ago I saw there was the 2006 re-issue (white cover again) which included all the digital stuff, and it was going cheap so bought that one as well.
Moral of the story- don't move house or you end up re-buying stuff you already own!
Even with the proliferation of Youtube etc these days, I've still yet to see a video or any other medium that explains the basics of DJing as clearly and simply as that book does- in particular the art of beatmatching/phrase mixing. Those hand-drawn diagrams are ingrained in my mind to this day.
