Started with the Kontrol S8 butt wanted to go a bit more modular, love this setup now. The db4 is , for me anyway, a really great mixer, the effects are something else, with the latest firmware update even better.

I really like to have 2 or 3 tracks running , adding sounds with maschine to blend it all together, at this moment ableton wont play with my soundcard but hopefully ill get it working soon..

Lovely set up! How do you control a third deck in traktor? And how does STEMS work for you in this set up. I'd imagine a risk of almost too many options to play with?

Also for routing Ableton, are you attempting to route it through one of the decks and maschine through the aux?

I control the 3th or 4th deck from one of the d2's. Maschine is using the db4 soundcard and is on channel 1, ableton is(for now, because it won't work with the db4 soundcard) on the chinch input by an external soundcard, with the db4 its very easy to assign a input on the fly to a diffrent channel. so ik can have it on any channel i like. only thing missing from the db4 is a aux send and return...

Yep to many knobs, i find myself using the db4 mostly for effects...but i like to have my options open as i am still learning and developing my skills and style..

tried stems, but untill now not for me, in techno there is not so much that is intresting to use

Yea, agree STEMS for techno isn't exactly interesting. I would thought just going for an X1 is easier instead? Nice set up overall though for techno and the input matrix is very good; the subtlety of the effects of the db4 work well for techno. Considered one myself, but been hesitant with the past issues and Mac.

I cant imagine why anyone would want a massive screen in their face while DJing. I get uncomfortable just looking at that.

    Different strokes.
