The best sync beetween traktor and Ableton is your ears and beatmatching skills:
You will prevent any USB dropouts which will creat big shit in your mix at the moment you were wainting less for
Whatever configuration you have, you never completely safe with sync loss.
After you sync TK and AB manually, it can happen that they slowly go out of sync, nut it's so slow that you will ear it and correct it smoothly without create big shit.
You can do it in both way:
When I want to sync Ab on Traktor, I use the tempo knob of my push and push UP or pull down the tempo as I would do with a SL1200MK2
Whan I want to sync Traktor on ableton, i use my computer keyboard, where I map the tempo master up/down on the up/down arrows and the temp bend +/- to the left/right arrows.

And don't worry, you will no need to resync it all the time, unless you change tempo play all the time.

It can happens to everybody, after it surely depends from configuration and performance of everybody's system.
When I run the midi synchro, I don't have that much problem, but it can happen 1 or 2 time in 1 or 2 hours, but I don't want to be surprise in my mix with that and finally it's going better to do it manually (It will take you 60 minutes to master it). My system is an ASUS PC with intel I5, SSD drive and 8g Ram, TK2.10 and Abl Live 9.5, running on 2 soundcards, Audio8 for traktor, Komplete 6 for ABL
I really advise you to map your arrows button on the keybords in the way I do, it make's the things easier as the tempo bend on Traktor is very usefull and allow you to sync in both way.
