Thunderbolt MacBook connectivity
Hello guys, I need your lights. Can I connect ddj sx2 at thunderbolt port? I also own a FireWire to thunderbolt adapter. Is there any cable for this? Any ideas?

i think this would need to be connected to a usb socket, I'm not 100% sure and i'm suprised someone who know for sure has not responded.
found this after a quick search, although doesn't answer you question directly, it does give an erxplaination about the future.

no. there is currently no DJ equipment on the market that I am aware of that takes advantage of the Thunderbolt port.
If you're concerned about available USB ports, buy a powered USB hub

You can't connect USB to thunderbolt directly.
But if you wanted to throw money at this problem, you could get a thunderbolt dock, which would give you additional USB sockets. Have a look at the Belkin / OWC / Elgato products on this link;

I've toyed with sticking one of these in a flightcase with my controller. So i could have controller / hard drive (Maybe even external monitor) all pre-wired in the flightcase to the thunderbolt hub. Then just run one thunderbolt cable back to my Macbook.
....then i looked at the price, & changed my mind! :-)
