    Default audio interface/DAC recommendations

    hey guys,
    I need some urgent help. I am a noob as far as hardware stuff is considered.
    I have audio technica m-50x which I use for my productions, after some research I found out that I need a DAC or audio interface
    for better quality.
    my first question is do I need a DAC or audio interface?
    If an audio interface, then the ones in my budget are steinberg UR-22, focusrite scarlett solo or any other recommendations from your side?
    I don't do any recordings,I only use a mic that too for very less time.
    my only work is producing on fl studio.
    and if a DAC then which one in this range?
    and final ques is do you recommend mixing on the m50x or some low budget cheap speakers, as I don't have studio monitors now.
    thank you.

    Depends but I think you could get away with a AudioEngine D1 dac. I like it for what it offers. No balanced out though so its not the best, but I run my monitors off it. I use that for sampling music and setting tracks up in Traktor. Also use it for messing in logic. It also has a optical input as well and headphone input in the front.

    Get the Scarlet Solo, I'd also recommend mixing on your headphones rather than cheap computer speakers, also test your mixes out in other ways like listening to your tracks thru your phone or your car to see if the track sounds good in different environments
    Ableton Live 9 || Focusrite Scarlet 2i4 || Akai MPK249 || Novation Launchpad Pro || Rokit 5s G1 || Audio-Technica AT 2035 || EMU MP-7 ||Electrix Tweaker || Audio-Technica ATH-M50 || Sennheiser HD 558
