I'm getting used to the thought of sharing tracklists, I guess it all comes down to being a selfish person and thinking a good mix comes down purely to what tracks you use.

Mostly it irritates me hearing an hour long mix and not knowing wtf is playing, since I'm listening half with my listener ear and the other half with my critic ear
I used to link music in my signature but nowadays I don't.

I dunno either, but its not my position to say. I let people tracklist my label's stuff.

I understand labels want some secrecy about releases. Hypothetically, could you just put.

    13. Song you're allowed to tracklist
    14. whitelabel/promo
    15. Song you're allowed to tracklist

Then the listener at least gets some of the songs

Please don't bash me, but I have seen people do this because they don't want everyone playing the same tracks. I mean, who would want that? On the flipside I can see wanting artists supported by other people buying their tracks to. I always like when you go all out of your way to get something that everyone else isn't playing, you feel like keeping your secret sometimes.

    This is an interesting thread.

I can agree with everybodys posts to a certain extent. I personally think that everybody should label full track lists. Maybe even crates as said by somebody further up the post if you have a mash up happening throughout your mix.

But i also agree with LanceBlaise, some artists/producers like to get a sample of an up and coming track out there but also like to keep it a little hidden. So personally imo people who are creating there OWN music that hasnt been released yet should be able to just write down 'promo/whitelabel' or 'unreleased' or something along those lines.

But take everything i say with a pinch of salt.
