If thing is a prototype then there are probably a several different designs with different functions. The best of each world will come down to the final design.
It's all getting rather laborious and silly now. For this much hype I assume it's pretty much a final prototype and this is all part of the marketing machine. No othe reason to be marketing it this much with a tour if that wasn't the case!

Richie’s new Play Differently mixer. It’s perfectly made for back-to-back sets. It has two headphone jacks and two cue buttons. It’s such a little technical detail, but it makes a huge difference when you play together.
