    Default Question about CDJ 800 mk1 & traktor

    Hello,
    looking forward to buy a pair of CDJ 800 MK1 and i'm planning to use it with TSP2 using Traktor Timecode cds , is it fully compatible with Traktor software ,i mean... cuz i did a search in here and found some people claiming about lags and glitches. any advice would be really appreciated. peace.

    Unless they are dirt cheap - I would not buy non-usb CDJ just so I can use them to control software. Rather have CDJ-400 so you can control Traktor via HID mode (don't need a interface or TSP licence).

    Ignore this response. Using 400's will not prepare you for using the industry standard. That jogwheel is nowhere near the same.


    Yes the 800 mk1's will work fine.

    Did he say he wanted "industry standard"? He wants gear that will work with Traktor so in that regard CDJ400 > CDJ800

    i've been working on CDJ 850 , but i recently sold it to replace them with CDJ 800 MK1 ( so i can use the rest of money on some Stuff ) ,i would prefere jog wheels of CDJ 800 on CDJ 400 , i know that the CDJ 400 performance is better , but yeah , i'm just looking for something to handle the job , just on studio uses and practices , thanks for the advice guys , i'm going to buy them since i found a really good offer and as i can see some of you still working with 800 mk1 without any problems.
