Default Traktor 2 Lag making it impossible to mix. MacbookPro & Vestax VCI400

    Hi guys,

I've not had my set up up and running in a wee while, but when I did set it up, I'm experiencing some lag between headphones and main output, making it impossible to mix.

Using a MacBook Pro, Traktor 2 & Vestax VCI400, Hetchbend Mapping.

So plenty of power, and a reliable mapping. Ive used this set up for years, and only now its giving me this lag.

The only thing thats different is I'm outputting to 1/4" Jack and into a wee stereo instead of balanced output to Yamaha HS8's

    Any ideas?

consumer stereo systems usually have some kind of DSP processing that introduces lag into a live signal. use any kind of powered speakers (even 2.1 computer ones).

A lot of amps have a direct button. Also, the delay might be good practice for plying on big PA rigs that have inherent lag.
