I'm not sure this news will have a massive impact in the DJ scene, I personally don't know anybody who buys music from iTunes to DJ with. For the guys who do use it I can imagine they will move to beatport, trackitdown etc... Thinking about it this move from apple could help in saving beatport from the storm they are in at the moment.

digital downloads have been on the decline for a while now, which is the projected path that a lot of analysts have recognized with Streaming being the dominate way consumers access music. There will be some people who perfer to purchase their music, but for the most part the business model of selling music (albums, Lps, individual) is dead. Technology's ability to access IP (music in the case) has forced the market into adopting freemium rather than premium.
which is understandable, most consumers prefer to pay less for something than more.
